CAFA 38th Directors' Meeting held in Iran
December 4, 2017, CAFA 38th Directors' Meeting held in Tehran, Iran. The meeting organized by CAFA, hosted by Iran National Council of Furniture & Decoration & Correlated Industries(NCFDC).
 Secretary General of CAFA, Vice Secretary General of CNFA, Ms. Linda Tu presided over the meeting and made the Secretariat report. The report includes activities organized by CAFA in 2017, membership status, financial reports and collection of contributions. And the 2018 CAFA work plan.  Secretary General of CAFA, Vice Secretary-General of CNFA, Ms. Linda Tu Mr. Mozaffar Alikhani, Secretary General of NCFDC made a welcome speech. He expressed his gratitude to CAFA members for participating in this year's DECO International Conference and invited member states to participate in Iran activities next year. NCFDC will continue to support the active development of the CAFA work and continue to promote trade exchanges between the Iranian furniture industry and Asian countries. The convening of the conference further strengthened the cohesiveness of CAFA and expanded the influence of CAFA in the Asian furniture industry. Valenzuela, Jr.  Vice President of Taiwan Furniture Chambers of Commerce(TFCC), Mr. Zhou Jianmin  Representative of TFCC, Mr. Ye Weizhen On December 3, the 10th International Conference on World Trade in Furniture, Design, Art, Decoration & Correlated Industries (Deco 2017) was hold in Tehran-Iran. Deco Conference is one of the greatest events of the furniture and decoration industry in Iran, which is held every year by NCFDC. This conference contains lectures and workshops in the fields of design and furniture production, trade and industry. The main result of the conference is development of Iran Furniture market (1&2) that has been established in Yaft Abad-Tehran as the capital of Iran’s Furniture Market. In addition, establishment of the Center of Furniture Scientific Education, the first Furniture Museum and Furniture Industrial Zone are other principal results of this annual event. CAFA members were invited to attend the DECO 2017 conference and visit the exhibition.
